Indirect Tax Expert

Xylem Water Solutions is seeking a highly skilled Indirect Tax Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our global tax strategy team, you will provide indirect tax advice to various business groups and work closely with the business to ensure compliance with VAT regulations.
Key Responsibilities- Manage VAT compliance and ensure efficiency of VAT tax audits
- Coordinate VAT compliance and work closely with operations and logistics group to ensure VAT efficiency of supply chain management
- Develop a coherent and proactive indirect tax strategy to effectively manage and identify VAT risks
- Act as a center of excellence for indirect tax issues within Xylem Water Solutions
- Ensure VAT rules and documentation are incorporated into Xylem's procedures
- Maintain strong relationships with growth centers and interface with outside tax consultants and other professional associates
- 4+ years of tax or indirect tax experience, preferably in manufacturing, distribution, and customs
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in finance, accounting, business, or related field, ideally with a tax degree or certification
- Experience with European statutory and GAAP (IFRS) reporting, including VAT reporting standards
- Business fluent English, German is a plus, and additional languages are a nice to have
