About the Role

Xylem Water Solutions is seeking a highly skilled Indirect Tax Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our global tax strategy team, you will play a crucial role in providing indirect tax advice and guidance to our business units.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage VAT Compliance: Ensure accurate and timely VAT compliance across all regions, including managing VAT returns, invoices, and credit notes.
  • Intercompany VAT Interactions: Coordinate with internal stakeholders to ensure efficient and compliant intercompany VAT interactions.
  • VAT Tax Audits: Collaborate with internal and external auditors to ensure efficient VAT tax audits and minimize risks.
  • VAT Efficiency in Supply Chain Management: Work closely with operations and logistics teams to ensure VAT efficiency in supply chain management.
  • Proactive VAT Planning: Develop and implement proactive VAT planning strategies to minimize risks and ensure compliance.
  • Indirect Tax Risk Management: Identify and mitigate potential indirect tax risks through regular risk assessments and compliance monitoring.
  • Center of Excellence: Establish and maintain a center of excellence for indirect tax issues, providing technical assistance and education to internal stakeholders.
  • VAT Documentation and Procedures: Ensure VAT rules and documentation are incorporated into Xylem Water Solutions' procedures and policies.
  • External Relationships: Maintain strong relationships with external tax consultants, auditors, and other professional associates to stay up-to-date on tax developments and best practices.
Requirements
  • 4+ Years of Tax/Indirect Tax Experience: Proven experience in tax and indirect tax, preferably in a multinational environment.
  • Education and Certifications: Bachelor's or Master's degree in finance, accounting, business, or related field, ideally combined with a tax degree or certification.
  • Language Skills: Business fluent English, German is a plus, and additional languages are a nice to have.
