Lab Service Associate

The Opportunity:

Avantor is seeking a motivated Lab Service Associate to perform a wide range of supporting tasks around the laboratory day.

This is a full-time position with a 50% workload (20 hours/week). Your workplace would be our customer site, a leading pharmaceutical company in Schaffhausen. Working Hours:

Monday to Friday, starting at 07:30, 4 hours per day or by arrangement.

What You Bring:

Education: Completed vocational training as a chemist/biologist laboratory assistant or logistics specialist with relevant laboratory experience.

Work Experience: First work experience in a laboratory, preferably from the pharmaceutical industry.

Preferred Skills:

• Experience with inventory management/point-of-use management.
• GxP experience is desirable.
• Excellent German language skills are a must.
• English language skills in writing and speaking are an asset.
• Good working knowledge of common Microsoft Office tools (especially Excel, SAP is an asset).
• Knowledge of laboratory behavior rules (health, safety, environment).

What You'll Be Doing:

• Proper disposal of bottles and laboratory glassware, chemicals, paper, metal, and other waste.
• Cleaning of laboratory glasses.
• Orders via eMarketplace, contact with purchasing and suppliers.
• Verification of the accuracy of invoice data for orders.
• Closing of purchase orders, contact with suppliers.
• Point-of-Use Management/Inventory Management.
• Repacking and distribution of laboratory products/chemicals/consumables.
• Submit investment requests in consultation with the finance team.
• Long-term and short-term archiving.
• Shipping and receipt of pipettes and weights.
• Receipt and distribution of samples.
• Compliance with SOPs and regulatory requirements.
