Join Verve Ventures as an Investment Manager

Verve Ventures is a pioneering venture capital firm that invests in groundbreaking companies tackling humanity's greatest challenges with technology. As an Investment Manager, you will be part of a dynamic and entrepreneurial team that invests in people and gives everyone the opportunity to shape the future development of our company.

The role is embedded in the Verve Investment team, where you will be responsible for sourcing, evaluating, and investing in the best European tech startups. You will also build thought leadership and relevant networks in your investment topic.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Deal Sourcing & Pipeline Building - Identify and screen the European market for top tech startups
  • Deal Assessment - Conduct due diligences and evaluate and negotiate investments
  • Deal Execution - Lead negotiations with startups and co-investors, review, negotiate, and approve legal documents
  • Portfolio Management & Exit - Support portfolio companies on their growth path, represent Verve Ventures' interest at board level, and develop exit strategies
  • Build & Maintain a strong network in the industry - Position and represent Verve Ventures by attending key industry events

Requirements:

To be successful in this role, we believe you have:

  • A Master's degree or PhD in a Technical or Natural Science field
  • 3-5 years of experience as a venture capital investor in a technology-related area, including conducting investments from sourcing to final execution and portfolio responsibility
  • Strong analytical thinking, ability to prioritize and manage a large amount of tasks in parallel, and thrive in a dynamic environment
  • An entrepreneurial mindset: identifying opportunities, overcoming obstacles, and making things happen
  • Full written and spoken fluency in English (German and/or French as additional languages are a plus)
