For Hochstrasser Personal, an international commodity trading company, we are seeking a skilled professional to manage demurrage claims and processes.
Key ResponsibilitiesThe successful candidate will be responsible for the following tasks:
- Manage all shipping-related claims, ensuring timely execution of demurrage processes.
- Review and analyze contract terms and documents to prepare accurate claim calculations.
- Collaborate with trading and finance teams to ensure seamless communication and execution.
- Identify and resolve demurrage cases by reviewing loading and discharge logs.
- Accurately report and maintain data on demurrage claims, including overdue cases.
To excel in this role, you will need:
- 2-3 years of experience in a similar position, preferably in the commodities or logistics industry.
- Excellent analytical, negotiation, and problem-solving skills.
- Knowledge of marine terminology and operations, as well as relevant control requirements.
- Fluency in English is essential, with any additional foreign languages being an asset.
- Ability to work accurately, independently manage tasks, and collaborate effectively within a team.
- Strong organizational and time management skills, with a focus on prioritizing multiple transactions.
