Job Summary

This is an exciting opportunity to join the International Labour Organization (ILO) as an IT Service Desk Professional in Geneva, Switzerland.

The successful candidate will provide technical support and assistance to employees, ensuring they have access to the necessary tools and systems to perform their daily tasks efficiently. As a key member of the INFOTEC team, you will be responsible for resolving IT-related issues, troubleshooting hardware and software problems, and collaborating with other units to ensure seamless IT operations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Analyzing and filtering incoming issues and inquiries related to IT systems, identifying root causes, and proposing solutions.
  • Collaborating with other units to troubleshoot and resolve complex IT issues, ensuring minimal disruption to business operations.
  • Providing training and documentation to end-users on various IT systems and tools, promoting self-sufficiency and improving overall IT literacy.
  • Participating in project teams to develop and implement new IT initiatives, contributing to the continuous improvement of IT services.

Requirements

To be considered for this role, you should possess:

  • A minimum of 5 years of progressive responsibility supporting IT Services in a large organization.
  • Strong knowledge of PC hardware, software, and networking principles, including Microsoft systems such as Active Directory, Endpoint Manager, and Windows 10.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to troubleshoot complex technical issues.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with diverse stakeholders, including employees, managers, and external vendors.
