Job Description

The Faculty of Business, Economics and Informatics at the University of Zurich invites applications for a Professorship in Sustainable Economics.

Position Overview

The position can be filled at any level (Assistant with Tenure Track, Associate or Full Professor) and involves teaching undergraduate and graduate courses. The language of instruction is either German or English.

Responsibilities
  • Conduct research in Environmental Economics and teach courses at the undergraduate and graduate levels.
  • Develop and maintain a strong research program in Environmental Economics.
  • Teach and mentor students in Environmental Economics.
  • Contribute to the development of the Faculty's research and teaching programs.
Requirements

Candidates applying for Assistant Professorship should hold a Ph.D. degree in Economics with specialization in the broad area of environmental economics and have an excellent record of academic achievements in the relevant fields. Candidates applying for Associate or Full Professorship should have an excellent research record in Environmental Economics, and strong teaching skills both at the undergraduate and the graduate levels.

Selection Criteria

The performance evaluation will be undertaken in line with DORA and the Open Science Policy of the University of Zurich.
