Senior Life Sciences Enterprise Solution Architect

About the Role

EPAM is seeking a technically hands-on Senior Enterprise Solution Architect with strong Life Sciences industry experience to join our Life Science Delivery team. The ideal candidate will be fluent in German and English, have a background in technology consulting, solution architecture, software development, client engagement, and stakeholder management.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the design of innovative solutions that address the needs of life science and medical technology clients.
  • Design and develop technical solutions for core client projects.
  • Provide guidance through the complexity of solution architecture options and the long-term roadmap for the solutions.
  • Find the right balance between innovation, technical feasibility, and long-term sustainability.
  • Liaise with multi-disciplinary teams locally and globally at both EPAM and various clients.
  • Create and present proof-of-concepts and architecture proposals as well as provide pre-sales and RFP support within the framework of a technology consultancy.
  • Ensure that all solutions comply with relevant regulatory requirements such as FDA, HIPAA, and GDPR.
  • Stay current with emerging technologies and industry trends in Life Sciences and MedTech.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science or similar or relevant work experience.
  • Extensive experience in hands-on Solution Architecture or related role with a strong foundation in Software Engineering.
  • Experience in Life Sciences industry is essential.
  • Must be fluent in German and English (reading, writing, and speaking).
  • Strong experience working in a consultative work environment as a SME to link technology with business value while guiding clients through the right technology choices suitable to their core short or long-term needs.
  • Strong expertise in green field, lift and shift, and migration projects.
  • Experience with Microservice-based architecture, designing enterprise services or integration capabilities using REST APIs and event-driven technology as well as leveraging native Cloud services (desirable Azure).
  • Proficiency in enterprise architecture frameworks and methodologies.
  • Experience and understanding of the Agile delivery, pre-sales, RFPs, POCs.
  • Comfortably leading and communicating with multi-disciplinary teams at EPAM and with the client, up to and including C-level management globally.
