About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Quality Assurance Specialist to join our HSE & Quality Culture and Compliance department at UCB. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for maintaining operational activities within the organization in compliance with GMP and UCB Quality standards.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage the quality vendor process and application of it, serving as the local process owner.
  • Oversee the qualification of GMP purchased materials and associated vendors, including risk assessments, change controls, and documentation.
  • Coordinate vendors' audits, including questionnaires and on-site evaluations, as planned for the year.
  • Ensure the timely update and creation of vendors' quality agreements and their successful implementation.
  • Conduct annual reviews of vendors and manage the vendor change notification process.
  • Implement and certify raw materials regarding quality aspects, including testing and sampling.
  • Participate in updating and maintaining vendor documentation in the electronic documentation system.
  • Configure SAP for vendors and purchased codes.
  • Coordinate relationships with vendors to ensure effective following of deviations, change controls, investigations, incidents, complaints, CAPAs, etc.
  • Approve new analytical specifications and methods for new materials.

Requirements

  • Master's degree in Life Sciences.
  • Extensive track record of 10 years in comparable positions within the pharmaceutical industry.
  • Knowledge of SAP, LIMS (Laboratory Information Management System).
  • Analytical knowledge.
  • Demonstrated understanding of GMP environment.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, convincing, and presentation skills.
  • Well-developed sense of discretion.
  • Demonstrated ability to write-up scientific/technical documents.
  • Ability to handle challenging situations, make decisions, and work independently.
  • Ability to coordinate multifaceted projects and meet/respect critical deadlines.
  • Sense of organization and priorities.
  • Excellent computer skills, including Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel, and Outlook.
  • Languages: French and English (spoken and written).
