Job Title: Head of Investigation and Compliance

WIPO is seeking a highly skilled and experienced professional to lead its Investigation and Compliance team. The successful candidate will be responsible for conducting complex investigations, managing risk, and developing policies and procedures to ensure the integrity of WIPO's operations.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead and manage the Investigation and Compliance team, ensuring effective and efficient delivery of services.
  • Conduct thorough and impartial investigations into allegations of misconduct, fraud, and other financial and administrative irregularities.
  • Develop and implement policies and procedures to prevent and detect misconduct, and to ensure compliance with WIPO's rules and regulations.
  • Provide expert advice and guidance to WIPO management and staff on investigation and compliance matters.
  • Collaborate with other departments and stakeholders to ensure effective risk management and compliance across the organization.
Requirements:
  • Advanced university degree in law, management, accounting, finance, auditing, or a related field.
  • At least 10 years of relevant professional experience in investigation, compliance, or a related field, with a minimum of 5 years in an international environment.
  • Excellent written and spoken English language skills.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with discretion.
Desirable:
  • Experience in conducting investigations and managing investigation teams in an international environment.
  • Knowledge of administrative law, criminal law, and the law and procedures of international organizations.
  • Experience in developing and implementing policies and procedures to prevent and detect misconduct.
