Head of Investigation Section

WIPO is seeking a highly skilled and experienced professional to lead its Investigation Section. The successful candidate will be responsible for conducting complex and sensitive investigations, identifying issues requiring management attention, and making recommendations on preventive or corrective measures.
Key Responsibilities:- Lead, direct, and coordinate the investigation activities of the Section, ensuring international investigation standards are met and ILOAT jurisprudence is taken into account.
- Conduct complex and/or sensitive investigations, analyzing complete and complex data sets to identify anomalies and trends using contemporary data analytics tools.
- Identify issues requiring management attention and make recommendations on preventive or corrective measures derived from investigation findings.
- Monitor actions taken and assess the adequacy of response to recommendations and periodically report thereon.
- Define, update, and implement investigative procedures and processes, drafting, revising, or contributing to the definition of the Organization's oversight policies and procedures.
- Represent the Organization at inter-agency forums and participate in senior management meetings on issues related to investigation.
- Provide overall leadership and management of the Investigation Section, ensuring the effective and efficient management of staff, financial, and material resources in the Investigation team.
- Advanced university degree in law, management, accounting, finance, auditing, or a related discipline.
- At least ten years of relevant professional experience in conducting investigations and managing investigation teams, of which a minimum of five years in an international environment.
- Experience in at least one of the following areas: Forensic Accounting, Fraud & Financial Investigations, Business Intelligence, Internal Audit, and Compliance.
- Excellent written and spoken knowledge of English.
- Good knowledge of French is desirable.

WIPO staff members are international civil servants subject to the authority of the Director General and may be assigned to any activities, office, or duty station of the Organization. The selected candidate may be required to move from time to time to new functions and/or to another duty station.
