Sourcing Manager, R&D projects Lead

About the Role
We are looking for a highly motivated and driven Sourcing Manager, R&D projects to join our team at dsm-firmenich.
As a Sourcing Manager, you will be responsible for scouting, sourcing, sampling, and introducing new raw materials (RMs) for fragrance and flavor ingredients in development or optimization phase.
Key Responsibilities:
- Boost competitivity & performance by scouting, sourcing, sampling, and introducing new RMs for fragrance and flavor ingredients.
- Provide sourcing information upon R&D request in a timely manner.
- Empower R&D team by providing competitive intelligence information of the fine chemical industry.
- Enable portfolio differentiation by co-leading transversal programs and finding innovative & sustainable RMs, processes, or companies.
- Manage R&D projects and share updates during Steering committee.
- Ensure business continuity for Ingredients industrialization.
- Manage the procurement category related to New Ingredients ramp-up.
- Represent Procurement within Ingredients committees.
- Be involved in business continuity plan for key intermediates.
- Support digitalization by owning sourcing data and improving its availability and accuracy in corporate tools.
Requirements:
- Scientific background with MSc or PhD in chemistry or related field.
- Proven business orientation with project management and sourcing track records.
- Minimum 5 years of work experience within the relevant field is mandatory.
- Ability to work independently and as a team member to achieve results in a complex and partially remote environment.
- Curious, open-minded, highly motivated with excellent communication skills.
- Fluency in English and preferentially in French.
