The Role

We are seeking a highly experienced Manufacturing Engineering Manager to join our Operation Department. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for leading one of our Manufacturing Engineering Teams, ensuring our production and production environment is compliant and continuously improving the application of our Quality Management System (QMS).

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead a team of 4-8 engineers, ensuring they are future-oriented, efficient, and always one step ahead through continuous training and development.
  • Set guidelines, provide best practices, and guide professional development to sustain internal services within assigned responsibilities for the Manufacturing Engineering Group.
  • Collaborate with our local and US-based CAPA team to implement corrective actions and preventive actions.
  • Conduct manufacturing analysis within complaint investigations in close collaboration with our US-based complaint handling team.
  • Manage document and label changes within our Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) system and related changes in our Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) system.
  • Develop and implement efficient training plans for the Manufacturing Engineering Group.
  • Support audit and other regulatory-related activities in the area of manufacturing engineering.
  • Contribute to the integration and maintenance of our global quality management system.
  • Foster interactions with other manufacturing engineering team leaders, production team leads, production planning, quality department, and project leaders.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in manufacturing, engineering, or a related field.
  • More than 5 years of professional experience in leadership and corresponding further education.
  • More than 5 years of professional experience in a manufacturing medical device industry or similar regulated environment.
  • Strong knowledge of regulations applicable in medical technology (ISO 13485 / FDA 21CFR Part 820 / GxP).
  • Excellent skills in English; communicative German is a plus.
  • Strong service-oriented personality.
  • Strong leadership personality with the will and ability to get things done.
  • Drive continuous improvement and enjoy working in a team.
