Finance Team Leader

About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced professional to join our team as a Finance Team Leader at Hapa AG. As a key member of our finance department, you will be responsible for overseeing the management of our financial operations, ensuring timely reporting to the group and internal units, and contributing to the increase of profitability in business and accounting matters.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage the month and year-end closing of accounts, including accruals, provisions, and closing entries, as well as capitalization of R&D costs in accordance with CFO instructions.
  • Ensure accurate and reliable financial management of accounts, including general and sub-ledgers, in accordance with IFRS and Swiss law.
  • Monitor and manage payment transactions with banks, petty cash, and prepare cash forecasts, as well as monitor outstanding bank guarantees and ensure timely preparation of VAT returns and VAT turnover reconciliations.
  • Identify and manage foreign currency exposure, ensuring coverage of risks with forward hedging contracts, and inform the Head of Finance of financial risks and opportunities.
  • Maintain the IKS control system and support interdepartmental ad-hoc projects from an accounting perspective.
  • Collaborate with cost center responsible individuals to ensure accurate financial planning and allocation of resources.
Requirements
  • Fluency in German and English, both spoken and written.
  • Swiss Federal Diploma in Finance and Accounting or similar qualification.
  • Experience in accounting and work-in-progress.
  • Strong skills in Microsoft Office tools and other finance tools, including ERP systems.
  • Experience managing a team and a hands-on, team player mentality.
