Job Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented intern to join our Data Strategy & Delivery team in PD Data Sciences. As an intern, you will have the opportunity to work on two exciting projects: Data Standards and Governance (DSG) and Data Privacy & Sharing (DPS). In DSG, you will contribute to the design, implementation, and governance of industry-wide biomedical data standards. In DPS, you will work on complex data privacy and sharing consultancy issues, driving the reuse of data for further insight generation.

Responsibilities
  • Contribute to the conceptual design of biomedical data standards from protocol to submission, their governance, and technical implementation in a metadata repository.
  • Work as a member of the DPS EP, collaborating with global and cross-functional teams to drive data sharing work and develop basic data privacy concepts.
  • Embedded in teams of key business stakeholders, prioritize the development of new biomedical data standards and lead specialist teams within the overarching governance framework.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement of internal work processes and tools, driving a culture based on FAIR data principles across the Roche organization.
  • Support projects that improve oversight of work and demonstrate the value of DPS activities, enabling further insights to be generated from clinical data for patient benefit while protecting patient privacy.
Requirements
  • Enrolled at a university or completed studies within the past 12 months in a life science discipline.
  • Strong interest in data sharing, data reuse, and data privacy topics, with experience in applying and managing healthcare data, possibly using CDISC industry biomedical data standards.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills, with the ability to communicate and present to all levels of the organisation and across organisational boundaries.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively, with strong critical appraisal skills and a structured approach to work.
