Senior Process Engineer Carbon Capture Specialist

About the Role
Holcim is committed to reducing its carbon footprint and achieving net-zero emissions by 2050. As a Senior Process Engineer Carbon Capture, you will play a critical role in developing and implementing carbon capture technologies in our cement plants.
Main Responsibilities
- Evaluate and develop promising carbon capture concepts and technologies in cement plants, collaborating with the corporate CC function and country organizations.
- Participate in the full process design, from early project stages to feasibility, pre-FEED, FEED, and EPC, to position carbon capture technologies and solutions.
- Propose safe, innovative, and optimized process engineering solutions to reduce CAPEX/Opex costs, such as investment, electricity, environmental impact, CO2, and other operating costs.
- Identify and manage process interfaces with existing facilities, including pyro systems and plant infrastructure.
- Execute process engineering on projects, including flow sheet definition, heat/mass balance, specific consumptions, sizing of equipment, process narrative, emission predictions, functional analysis, permit requirements, and more.
- C coach and empower project teams in countries and regions to drive CCUS projects and studies.
Requirements
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in chemical process engineering in the chemical or petrochemical industry.
- Minimum 5 years of experience in carbon capture projects, with technical leadership in CCUS concept development, project scoping, and project bid proposal evaluation.
- Manufacturing background in the industrial gas production industry, petrochemical industry, or similar.
- Strong listening, communication, and negotiation skills, with the ability to interact with different levels in the organization and with people abroad.
- Fluent in English, both oral and written, with other languages a plus.
