Global EHS Audit Director

About the Role:
This position is a key member of the Environmental, Health and Safety (EHS) team at Takeda.
We are seeking an experienced EHS professional to lead our global audit program. The successful candidate will have extensive experience in EHS management systems and auditing, with a strong background in compliance and risk management.
The Lead EHS Compliance Specialist will be responsible for developing and implementing effective audit programs to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and internal policies.
The ideal candidate will have expertise in ISO 14001 and ISO 45001 standards, as well as excellent communication and leadership skills.
Responsibilities:
- Leverage EHS expertise to identify opportunities for improvement and provide guidance on corrective actions.
- Develop and implement comprehensive audit plans to ensure alignment with company objectives and regulatory requirements.
- Serve as a subject matter expert on EHS-related matters, providing advice and support to cross-functional teams.
- Collaborate with colleagues to identify and address potential risks and opportunities for growth.
- Maintain accurate records of audits, including findings and recommendations.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Life Science, Business, Finance or related field.
- 10 years of experience in EHS, including experience as an audit lead/auditor.
- ISO lead auditor trained.
- Excellent knowledge of EHS management systems (ISO 14001, ISO 45001, PSM, etc.) and technical topics (safety, environment, health).
- Experience working in global matrixed organizations.
- Experienced in developing audit programs including strategic communication.
- Wide range of knowledge of laws and regulations in USA, EU & Japan.
- Proficient with digital technologies including basic computer apps such as Work, Excel, Teams etc.
- At least 5 years' experience within a highly regulated industry (Biopharmaceutical, Chemical, Refining, Nuclear etc.).
