About the Role

We are seeking a highly experienced and skilled Vice Director of IT Infrastructure Services to join our IT department. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for leading teams that cover the scopes of Networking, Compute, Storage, and Core Systems.

Key Responsibilities

  • Foster a culture of innovation, collaboration, and continuous improvement within the IT department.
  • Develop and implement strategies aligned with the company's goals and objectives, focusing on delivering a fully automated infrastructure platform as a service.
  • Oversee network architecture, server infrastructure, and storage solutions, ensuring they meet the department's objectives.
  • Implement and manage disaster recovery and business continuity plans, ensuring minimal disruption to our services.
  • Identify potential barriers to change and develop strategies to overcome them, promoting a culture of adaptability within the team.
  • Ensure compliance with relevant regulations, standards, and best practices, maintaining the highest level of security and integrity.
  • Oversee IT operational concerns, ensuring efficiency in on-call and support roles, and negotiate pricing and conditions with third-party vendors and service providers.

Requirements

  • Notable experience in capacity planning, budgeting, and long-term planning, with a proven track record in managing complex IT environments.
  • 10+ years of experience in IT infrastructure management, with at least 5 years in a leadership role, preferably in a similar industry.
  • Proven experience in managing large-scale infrastructure projects, with a strong understanding of network architecture, server infrastructure, cloud computing, and cybersecurity.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills, capable of working with multi-functional technical and business teams, along with different levels of management to influence decision making.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Prior experience within Swissquote, with working relationships with key players in management and staff.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and balance internal and business projects, with a strong focus on delivering results.
  • Knowledge of BGP, TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, and other network protocols, as well as experience with routers, switches, firewalls, and load balancers.
  • Proficiency in virtualization and containerization technologies, such as VMware, Hyper-V, LXC, Docker, and Podman.
  • Understanding of SAN, NAS, and DAS storage systems, with extensive experience in IT system CI/CD.
  • Comfortable with Infrastructure as Code tooling, such as Puppet, Ansible, Terraform, and others.
