Logistics Director

This role focuses on managing the supply chain and logistics of raw materials, semi-finished, and finished products across global manufacturing locations, ensuring efficient delivery to customers. You'll also optimize product supply for improved business profitability.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement inventory control strategies, collaborating with procurement and production teams to optimize stock levels and cash flow.
  • Manage co-manufacturers and 3PL partnerships, ensuring secure and cost-effective supply chains.
  • Oversee warehouse operations, implementing best practices for layout, organization, and safety.
  • Build and manage relationships with 3PL providers, optimizing transportation routes and costs.
  • Develop transportation strategies for timely product delivery while minimizing costs.
  • Assess make-or-buy strategies and recommend production solutions that meet quality standards.
  • Collaborate with demand and supply planning teams to ensure customer service and risk management.
  • Define import/export processes for cost-effective and timely product supply.
  • Work with quality and plant managers to minimize waste and obsolescence.

Qualifications:

  • Engineering degree; MBA or International Commerce background is advantageous.
  • Minimum 15 years in logistics with 10 years in similar roles.
  • Experience in logistics consulting.
  • Proficiency in English and French, Spanish is a plus.
  • Strong leadership, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
  • Proven track record in logistics, transportation, and inventory management.
  • Proficient in Office, ERP, MRP, and APS systems.
