Cybersecurity Engineer for Secure Data Protection

About the Role
This position involves designing and maintaining systems to safeguard user IDs, computers, networks, clouds, and data against cyberattacks and natural disasters. The ideal candidate will have experience with security measures like xDR, intrusion detection systems, vulnerability scanners, and similar technologies.
Your Responsibilities
- Design and implement security measures to enhance incident response capabilities.
- Respond to security incidents promptly and effectively.
- Coordinate IT security incident response across teams.
- Perform security assessments and software audits regularly.
- Develop technical solutions to address security vulnerabilities.
- Research new attack vectors and develop defense strategies.
- Establish security standards and best practices within the organization.
- Recommend security enhancements to management.
- Ensure new security systems are properly installed and configured.
- Test security solutions for effectiveness.
- Coach and train internal incident response teams.
- Develop programs to automate vulnerability detection.
- Liaise with vendors and other IT personnel for problem resolution and support.
- Provide third-level support when needed.
Your Qualifications
- A minimum of 5+ years' experience as an IT System Engineer or relevant position.
- Proven expertise with Microsoft Defender and sentinel products, including Azure and Entra ID.
- Familiarity with Microsoft Windows OS technology, networking, databases, firewalls, anti-virus, log management, content filtering, etc.
- Experience with network security and network technologies.
- Good understanding of security protocols and authentication methods.
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work outside regular business hours.
- A degree in IT or related studies.
