About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Automation Tester to join our team at Global Message Services. As a key member of our Quality Assurance team, you will play a critical role in ensuring the quality and reliability of our messaging CPaaS platform.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design and Develop Automation Scripts: Utilize open-source tools and frameworks to validate the functionality, performance, and scalability of our messaging CPaaS platform.
  • Collaborate with Development Team: Work closely with our development team to understand feature requirements and develop effective test plans and automation strategies.
  • Integrate Automated Tests: Integrate automated tests with CI/CD pipelines to ensure continuous testing and feedback.
  • Bug Identification and Resolution: Identify, record, document thoroughly, and track bugs through to resolution.
  • Regression Testing: Perform thorough regression testing when bugs are resolved.
  • Test Result Analysis: Analyze test results, identify areas for improvement in the software development process, and make recommendations to the development team.
  • Stay Up-to-Date with Testing Tools: Stay current with new testing tools and test strategies to improve test processes.
  • Collaborate with Development and Operations Teams: Collaborate with the development and operations teams to ensure comprehensive test coverage.
  • Test Automation Framework Development: Participate in the creation and enhancement of test automation frameworks.
  • Software Usability and Functionality Feedback: Provide feedback and recommendations to developers on software usability and functionality.
  • Manual Testing: Conduct manual testing when necessary to complement automated tests.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's Degree: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
  • Proven Experience: Proven experience as a QA tester or similar role, with a strong focus on automation testing.
  • Test Planning and Execution: Experience in writing clear, concise, and comprehensive test plans and test cases.
  • Automated Testing Tools: Hands-on experience with automated testing tools and frameworks.
  • Programming Languages: Proficient in programming or scripting languages relevant to test automation (e.g., Java, Python).
  • Agile Frameworks: Familiarity with Agile frameworks and regression testing.
  • Analytical and Communication Skills: Excellent analytical skills and attention to detail, with strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Messaging Systems Experience: Experience with messaging systems or CPaaS platforms.
  • Java Application Development: Knowledge of Java application development and its testing frameworks (e.g., JUnit, TestNG).
  • CI/CD Tools and Version Control: Experience with CI/CD tools (e.g., Jenkins, GitLab CI) and version control systems (e.g., Git).
  • RESTful APIs: Understanding of RESTful APIs and experience testing API endpoints.
  • Certifications: Certifications in software testing (e.g., ISTQB, CSTE).
