Overview

We currently have a fantastic opportunity for someone to join the Paris Operations Engineering team as a Consultant Engineer, based in Switzerland, reporting to the Group Manager Field Engineering.

Responsibilities

  • Work in partnership with clients, understanding their businesses and helping them prevent and control losses.
  • Identify all reasonably foreseeable physical and human element exposures for perils at client locations through on-site loss prevention evaluations.
  • Quantify exposures at client locations to ensure the Account Team places an appropriate level of attention on the exposure and its impact on the business.
  • Take steps to guarantee operational functionality of protective equipment at client locations to maximize loss mitigation and maintain protection systems.
  • Obtain local client understanding and agreement on hazards/exposures discovered and their potential business impact.
  • Achieve practical, effective on-site risk improvement through human element/maintenance programs and low/moderate cost physical improvements, developing a plan for completing target recommendations for high capital improvements aligning with Account Engineering.
  • Illustrate the value-added differential of FM engineering capabilities and educate clients on loss prevention through innovative methods where appropriate.
  • Provide timely, high-quality plan review services for medium complexity changes to ensure proper loss prevention considerations are achieved at the design stage.

Qualifications

  • CHEMICAL Engineering degree educated with a minimum of 3-5 years' experience.
  • Loss prevention Field Engineering background.
  • Self-starter, problem-solving oriented, and solution provider mindset with a genuine desire to bring about risks' improvement.
  • High attention to detail, organizational skills, strong analytical thinker with logical application.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, including listening, negotiation, and presentation.
  • Fluency in French, German, & English - written & oral. Other European languages would be a plus.
  • The role requires traveling mainly in an assigned geographical area, but also throughout the operation territory.

Salary Estimate: CHF 80,000 - CHF 120,000 per annum, depending on qualifications and experience.
