The Opportunity

We are seeking an experienced Senior Fundraising Specialist to join our team in Bern, Switzerland.

Job Summary

This is a full-time role that will be responsible for developing and implementing a comprehensive fundraising strategy to secure funding from major donors and institutional funders. The successful candidate will have a proven track record of securing significant funding from philanthropic organizations and will be able to think strategically about how to leverage relationships and resources to achieve our mission.

Main Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement a fundraising strategy to secure funding from major donors and institutional funders;
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders, including donors, partners, and colleagues;
  • Research and identify new funding opportunities and develop compelling proposals to secure funding;
  • Work closely with the Head of Philanthropy and Partnerships to develop and implement a comprehensive fundraising strategy;
  • Manage and track grants and reports, ensuring compliance with donor requirements;
  • Coordinate with various departments to conduct evaluations of grant-funded programs;
Requirements
  • A university degree in a relevant subject (e.g., business, marketing, or non-profit management);
  • A minimum of 5 years of experience in fundraising, preferably in a senior role;
  • Proven track record of securing significant funding from philanthropic organizations;
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English and one of German or French;
  • Strong project management skills and ability to work independently;
  • Proficiency in MS Office and fundraising software;
