We are seeking an exceptional Philanthropic Funding Specialist to join our philanthropy team at SOS Children's Villages. Our mission is to provide every child with the love and support of a family, giving them the best chance of a secure future.

In this newly created position, you will conduct thorough research to identify potential funding opportunities that align with our organization's mission and objectives. You will develop and implement a comprehensive institutional fundraising strategy, crafting compelling grant applications and proposals, including detailed log frames and budgets. You will ensure that all funding applications comply with donor guidelines and adhere to relevant regulations.

Main Responsibilities:
  • Conduct in-depth research to identify suitable funding opportunities
  • Develop and execute a strategic institutional fundraising plan
  • Compose and submit high-quality grant applications and proposals
  • Maintain strong relationships with funders and partners
  • Monitor grant expenditures and prepare timely financial and program reports
About You:

To excel in this role, you will require a university degree in a relevant field, proven experience as a Philanthropic Funding Specialist or similar role in the non-profit sector, and expertise in fundraising strategies and donor relations specific to the non-profit environment.

You will also possess experience in researching and applying for funding opportunities, budgeting skills, knowledge of auditing policies, and familiarity with major Swiss and international donor agencies. Strong written and verbal communication skills in English are essential, as well as project management skills and proficiency in MS Office and fundraising software.

Estimated Annual Salary:

The estimated annual salary for this position is CHF 80,000 - 100,000, depending on your level of experience.
