About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Senior Fund Finance Manager to join our Private Debt investment team at StepStone Group. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for managing fund finance arrangements and foreign exchange functions.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage projects to source, structure, and execute bespoke lending arrangements and streamline origination processes.
  • Lead the onboarding of new lenders and credit facilities across the platform.
  • Work with lenders on bids for credit facility opportunities and negotiate term sheets and legal agreements.
  • Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to oversee existing arrangements and answer day-to-day credit facility questions.
  • Lead the selection and implementation of alternative solutions for FX hedging of Private Debt portfolios.
  • Review existing foreign exchange arrangements and assess improvement potential.
  • Interact with external relationship managers, advisory firms, investment bankers, and asset-structuring professionals at financial institutions.
  • Work with various teams on broader strategic initiatives, such as credit facility, hedging, and treasury management tools.
  • Provide presentation materials for Management and Board Meetings.
  • Collaborate with senior business leaders to develop creative solutions for unique client and portfolio needs.
  • Develop and preserve relationships with internal and external legal counsel.
  • Coordinate and lead specific activities and projects, including Asset Liability and Cash Management.
Requirements
  • Master's degree in economics or finance preferred.
  • Minimum of 8 years of related financial services experience required.
  • Understanding of private debt asset class and related funding needs.
  • Highly motivated self-starter with demonstrated history of taking initiative and working independently.
  • Execution-focused mindset with preservation of basic risk-management principles.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills with ability to forge strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Highly organized with attention to detail and excellent follow-through.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
