**Senior Transaction Manager - Trade and Commodities Finance**

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Transaction Manager to join our Trade and Commodities Finance team at ING Banking. As a Senior Transaction Manager, you will be responsible for managing and mitigating risks associated with transactions, ensuring compliance with ING Group policies and Swiss laws and regulations.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Transaction Management:
    • Assess and understand risks related to proposed transactions, including credit, operational, compliance, fraud, hedging, freight, and transactional liquidation risks.
    • Prepare transaction sheets for presentation to credit authorities based on documents/information received from clients/relationship managers.
    • Ensure necessary approvals for transactions have been received.
    • Collect and check transaction documents according to credit decisions and first-line controls.
    • Prepare and/or collect transactional credit documents, including pre-financing agreements, specific pledge agreements, insurance documents, etc.
    • Ensure transactions comply with conditions set by credit authorities and meet ING standards with respect to compliance matters.
    • Remit transaction documents for execution to the appropriate support function.
  • Treasury Management:
    • Provide loans, deposits, and foreign exchange services.
    • Intake/release of material pledged.
    • Obtain adequate approvals on countries and bank exposures for export letter of credit confirmation.
    • Perform credit and compliance checks on above-mentioned tasks.
    • Follow up on the execution of payments and documentary instructions.
    • Ensure proper audit trail of documentation and instructions related to transactions.
  • Client Position Monitoring:
    • Maintain and update an accurate and up-to-date client position and ensure risks monitoring.
    • Monitor the client's margin and the transaction with regard to timely loading of goods, payment of receivables, receipt of contracts, and sales instruments.
    • Monitor price risk exposure and hedging positions.
    • Raise any risk issues and early warning signals to the TMO Team Lead and Relationship Manager.
    • Report risk exposures when required.
  • Client Relationship:
    • Discuss with clients any new financing request in close collaboration with Relationship Management.
    • Communicate with clients for all above-mentioned matters.
    • Maintain close relationships with clients.
    • Reply to clients' inquiries if within competences.
    • Identify commercial opportunities and collaborate with Relationship Management.
    • Originate transactions in the frame of the allocated portfolio.
    • Meet with clients.
  • Team:
    • Develop/maintain understanding and knowledge of all the desk credit facilities.
    • Act as back-up for any TM colleagues of the same group.
    • Assist TM of the same group in their day-to-day tasks.
    • Be the first point of contact for the day-to-day business and communicate with the related departments involved.
  • Other Risk Management Areas:
    • Maintain the highest possible risk mitigating standards by following the risks-related and operational procedures developed by the Bank.
