The Academic Officer will play a crucial role in supporting the Academic Managers in maintaining academic oversight of programme delivery, assessment, and monitoring. This includes assisting with the development and promotion of training programmes, managing stakeholder engagement, and coordinating exams, thesis supervision, and student feedback processes.
Key Responsibilities:- Academic Oversight: Assist Academic Managers in maintaining academic oversight of programme delivery, assessment, and monitoring.
- Stakeholder Engagement: Manage stakeholder engagement of training programmes, including coordination with faculty, students, and external partners.
- Programme Development: Assist in the development and promotion of training programmes, including curriculum design and delivery.
- Exams and Assessment: Coordinate exams, thesis supervision, and student feedback processes.
- Student Support: Provide support to students, including coordination of student information on the academic online portal.
- Faculty Support: Assist faculty in the development and improvement of their courses, including coordination of faculty meetings and feedback.
- Coordination: Coordinate the creation and management of student information on the academic online portal, as well as the coordination of institution internal and external evaluation and accreditation processes.
- Qualifications: Master degree in international relations, or in political science.
- Teaching Experience: Teaching experience will be an advantage.
- Language Skills: Excellent communication skills in English. Knowledge of French or any other language is an asset.
- Soft Skills: Ability to communicate with judgement and diplomacy with students and faculty from different cultures, ability to be organized, punctual, and initiate and follow-up tasks.
- Technical Skills: Strong computer skills (including Microsoft Office Suite and database experience), experience with Moodle, Odoo, and other LMS systems would be preferred.
