Job Overview

The Global Capacity Planning Manager is responsible for ensuring global production capacity aligns with customer demand across all regions worldwide. This role develops and implements a global production strategy that aligns with the organization's overall business goals.

Main Responsibilities

  • Capacity Planning: Assess production capabilities at all sites to ensure they meet forecasted demand.
  • Production Scheduling: Develop and manage production schedules that align with global demand forecasts.
  • Inventory Management: Monitor inventory levels across sites to ensure they are aligned with production plans.
  • Coordination and Collaboration: Work closely with global customer demand and supply planners as well as local production planners to balance capacity effectively.
  • Process Standardization: Develop and implement standardized operating procedures across all production sites.
  • Technology and Systems Integration: Implement and manage ERP utilization and production planning systems.
  • Automation and Innovation: Leverage new technologies to enhance production efficiency and data accuracy.
  • Performance Monitoring: Track key performance indicators such as production efficiency and inventory turnover.
  • Risk Management: Identify potential hazards to production capacity and develop contingency plans.

Professional Experience & Specific Skills

Mandatory

  • 5+ years' professional experience in roles related to production planning, manufacturing, supply chain management, or operations management.
  • Problem-Solving & Analytical Skills: Capable of identifying issues in complex environments and developing practical solutions.
  • Communication Skills & Cultural Awareness: Strong ability to communicate and coordinate plans and changes effectively across various teams.
  • Technical Proficiency: Proficiency with ERP systems and advanced planning tools.
  • Project Management: Proficient in managing multiple projects and coordinating activities across different departments.
