About the Role
We are currently seeking an experienced Regional Markets Manager to join our sales team for a luxury watch manufacturer based in the heart of the Swiss watchmaking region. As an international markets manager, you will be responsible for promoting the brand in assigned territories, developing strategies to achieve annual sales, marketing, and communications budgets, and ensuring that each outlet meets brand requirements and standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Strategy Development: Develop and implement strategies to achieve annual sales, marketing, and communications budgets.
- Market Expansion: Identify, target, and open new points of sale (POS) in line with annual targets and the brand's distribution strategy.
- Outlet Management: Ensure that each outlet meets brand requirements, training, and merchandising standards.
- Distribution and Product Mix: Ensure that distribution and product mix are in line with the brand's commercial rules and requirements.
- POS Management: Open and close POS to maintain brand image, quality, and respect selective distribution requirements.
- Sales Outlet Compliance: Ensure that sales outlets comply with the requirements defined by the brand: assortment, space, furniture, etc.
- Sales Training: Organise and/or conduct sales training to increase product knowledge and maximise sell-out.
- Pricing and Sell-Out Analysis: Monitor pricing, observe trends, and analyse sell-out in assigned territories for necessary adjustments.
- Marketing Activities: Supervise marketing activities: events, product launches, exhibitions, sponsorships, advertising campaigns, etc.
- Collaboration and Support: Collaborate with and support national Brand Managers, and supervise subsidiary inventory levels.
Requirements and Qualifications:
- Proven Wholesale Management Background: Proven experience in wholesale management with international exposure.
- Education: Degree in business administration, commerce, luxury marketing, or related fields.
- Luxury Products Knowledge: Strong background or interest in premium-luxury products such as watches, jewellery, and accessories.
- Leadership and Team Management: Proven track record in developing, negotiating, and implementing wholesale strategies as well as leading international teams.
- Multicultural Skills: Excellent multicultural, interpersonal, and negotiation skills, securing effective relationships with partners.
- Data-Driven Decision Making: Analytical mindset and ability to make data-driven decisions.
- Language Skills: Excellent communication skills in French and English; other languages would be highly valued (German, Scandinavian, etc.).
- Technical Skills: Skilled with ERP systems such as SAP, and with the MS Office suite.
- Market Understanding: Understanding of the target markets/geographical area: DACH + UK + Northern Europe.
- Travel Requirements: Ability to travel extensively and reside close to the HQ in the Western part of Switzerland (Neuchâtel-Jura Bernois region).
Salary Estimate: CHF 120,000 - CHF 180,000 per year, depending on experience.
