**Job Summary**
We are currently seeking a Manufacturing Specialist to join our team at our Ibex-facility in Visp. As a key member of our production team, you will be responsible for executing operational activities in assigned manufacturing areas, ensuring batch execution, evaluating test results, and resolving issues. Your expertise will be crucial in maintaining high-quality GMP standards and ensuring the smooth operation of our large scale 6x20kL Scale Drug Substance Mammalian facility.
**Key Responsibilities**
- Execute manufacturing activities in Upstream Processing, Downstream Processing, or Buffer Media and Production Support areas, adhering to cGMP guidelines and ensuring batch execution, including IPC checks and sample delivery.
- Support the preparation of SHE (Safety, Health, Environment), EM (Environmental Monitoring), operation, and cleaning risk assessments for assigned products and implement defined measures.
- Contribute to document preparation, such as electronic batch records and SOPs, specific to assigned production areas.
- Review production documentation and work on deviations, change requests, and CAPAs to ensure high-quality GMP standards.
- Train manufacturing staff on specific equipment or standard operations.
- Work as a production expert in Capital investment projects for building and commissioning of manufacturing units.
- Deliver input required for specific set-up, commissioning, and qualification of manufacturing suites and equipment, including automation.
- Execute real-time batch record review, including issue resolution with QA and manufacturing leads.
**Requirements**
- Bachelor or Master's degree in Biotechnology, Bio-chemical Engineering, or related disciplines.
- Sound knowledge of biotechnological processes in large scale mammalian/microbial inoculation and cell culture, harvest, buffer/media preparation, and protein purification.
- In-depth cGMP understanding is highly advantageous for the role.
- Fluency in English is mandatory, and German is highly desired.
- Open to work in a shift (4-shift system) environment.
- Excellent communication skills, team player, driven, and solution-oriented.
