Biotechnology Production Operator

We are seeking a highly skilled Biotechnology Production Operator to join our team at Lonza. As a key member of our production team, you will be responsible for executing manufacturing activities in our Upstream Processing and Downstream Processing areas, ensuring compliance with cGMP guidelines.
Key Responsibilities- Execute manufacturing activities in Upstream Processing and Downstream Processing areas, ensuring batch execution, evaluating test results, and resolving issues.
- Support the preparation of SHE (Safety, Health, Environment) and EM (Environmental Monitoring) risk assessments for assigned products and implement defined measures.
- Assist in document preparation, including electronic batch records and SOPs, specific to assigned production areas.
- Review production documentation and work on deviations, change requests, and CAPAs to ensure high-quality GMP standards.
- Engage in capital investment projects for building and commissioning new manufacturing units as a manufacturing expert, responsible for delivering input required for setup, commissioning, and qualification of manufacturing suites and equipment.
- Train manufacturing staff on specific equipment or standard operations.
- Completed chemical or biopharmaceutical education or corresponding training qualification, with a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Biotechnology, Biology, Biochemical Engineering, or related disciplines.
- Sound knowledge of biotechnological processes in microbial and/or mammalian cultivation or protein purification.
- Excellent communication skills, team player, driven, and solution-oriented.
- Fluency in English required, with fluency in German considered a plus.
- Open to working in a shift (4-shift system).
- Basic GMP understanding is a plus.
