Job Summary
VetJobs is currently hiring for a Fabrication and Assembly Operator to join our team in Geneva, AL. As an Assembly Specialist, you will be responsible for setting up and operating various non-powered tools to assemble products.
- Key Responsibilities:
- Reads and interprets cut sheets to determine sequence and methods of fabricating and assembling products.
- Sets up and operates various non-powered tools including wrenches, sockets, screw drivers, hammers. Bolts, screws, clips, component parts to assemble products.
- Installs sub-assemblies in supportive framework according to drawings. Inspects sub-assemblies and finished product for conformance to specifications. Rework sub-assemblies and finished product as necessary.
- Forwards finished assembly or product to the next work area. Other duties may be assigned.
Requirements
- Education: High school education (or equivalent) preferred and/or previous factory experience preferred.
- Skills: Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
- Work Environment: The work environment characteristics described here are representative of those an employee encounters while performing the essential functions of this job.
