Job Summary

VetJobs is currently hiring for a Fabrication and Assembly Operator to join our team in Geneva, AL. As an Assembly Specialist, you will be responsible for setting up and operating various non-powered tools to assemble products.

  1. Key Responsibilities:
  2. Reads and interprets cut sheets to determine sequence and methods of fabricating and assembling products.
  3. Sets up and operates various non-powered tools including wrenches, sockets, screw drivers, hammers. Bolts, screws, clips, component parts to assemble products.
  4. Installs sub-assemblies in supportive framework according to drawings. Inspects sub-assemblies and finished product for conformance to specifications. Rework sub-assemblies and finished product as necessary.
  5. Forwards finished assembly or product to the next work area. Other duties may be assigned.

Requirements

  • Education: High school education (or equivalent) preferred and/or previous factory experience preferred.
  • Skills: Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
  • Work Environment: The work environment characteristics described here are representative of those an employee encounters while performing the essential functions of this job.
