About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Supply Chain Network Designer to join our team at IKEA. As a key member of our logistics team, you will be responsible for designing and developing optimized supply chain network capacities that meet our business requirements and customer needs.

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct comprehensive analyses of current supplier, logistics operations, transportation, warehouse, and inventory practices to identify areas for improvement.
  • Utilize advanced modeling techniques, data, and software to simulate supply chain scenarios and propose improvements that align with our business strategy.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including procurement, finance, operations, and sales to ensure network design is aligned with overall business objectives.
  • Prepare and present business cases for decisions on network design changes, including sustainability, cost-benefit analysis, and risk assessment.
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest supply chain trends, technologies, and best practices to drive continuous improvement and support the development of our logistics capabilities.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in supply chain management, industrial engineering, operations research, or a related field.
  • Proven experience in supply chain network design, logistics, or operations management.
  • Proficiency in supply chain modeling software (e.g., Supply Chain Guru, AnyLogic, etc.).
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a meticulous attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration abilities.
  • Working knowledge of data management and structuring using advanced Excel, SQL, Tableau, etc.
  • Knowledge of regulatory and industry-specific supply chain and logistics requirements.
