Lead, Equitable Transition Specialist

About the Role

The World Economic Forum is seeking a highly skilled and experienced professional to lead our Equitable Transition initiative. As a key member of our Centre for the New Economy and Society, you will play a critical role in shaping the global agenda for equitable transition and driving meaningful impact.

Main Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement strategies to advance the Equitable Transition agenda, working closely with internal teams and external partners.
  • Lead the development of insights products and case studies, including research reports, policy briefs, and thought leadership pieces.
  • Manage and grow the Equitable Transition Alliance, a global network of leaders committed to advancing equitable transition.
  • Design and implement toolkits and playbooks for the private sector and public-private collaboration, to support equitable transition efforts.
  • Support the development of a commitment framework and accelerator model to drive national and industry-level equitable transition efforts.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, including government officials, business leaders, and civil society representatives.
  • Track and report on key performance indicators (KPIs) and impact metrics, to ensure the initiative's progress and success.
Requirements and Qualifications
  • Advanced university degree in public policy, economics, business, or a related field.
  • At least 7 years of relevant professional experience, preferably in a matrix organization, with a strong understanding of the public sector and international development.
  • Demonstrated knowledge and expertise in just and equitable transition issues, frameworks, policies, and challenges.
  • Excellent presentation and writing skills, with experience in leading authorship and publication.
  • Familiarity with socioeconomic development and climate metrics, as well as equitable transition pathways.
  • Proven project management and coordination skills, with attention to detail and excellent collaboration skills.
  • Strong relationship development skills, with experience in creating global public-private partnerships.
