About the Role
As a Senior Credit Officer Lombard at Bank J. Safra Sarasin, you will be part of a highly skilled team responsible for structuring new transactions and managing a substantial portfolio of Lombard limits. Your expertise will be essential in providing high-quality work as a business enabler and credit risk manager.
Your Responsibilities
- Manage Lombard credits and structured Lombard credit transactions, providing advisory services to Relationship Managers, Department and Regional Heads, and conducting risk-appropriate credit analyses based on the Bank's Credit Policy.
- Offer solutions and risk-oriented support to the sales organization, working closely with Private Banking teams and key stakeholders to structure standard and non-standard credit proposals.
- Propose credit transactions to the relevant authority level and execute approved transactions, including documentation and perfection of security.
- Process periodic credit reviews, credit limit requests, and portfolio overviews.
- Provide ongoing support to the Management in identifying and managing credit risks using a holistic approach, as well as supporting the structuring of new credit products, drafting policies and guidelines, and project management.
- Promote an integrated team and share knowledge, experience, and best practices.
- Promote a strong risk culture within the Bank and improve coordination and communication with the national and international network of the Bank.
- This is an office-based role.
Your Profile
- Higher education in Banking, Business, or Finance, with additional education in the Credit area being a plus.
- 10+ years of practical experience in Lombard credit, credit risk, Lombard structuring, or Lombard advisory, preferably in a private bank.
- Excellent Microsoft Office skills, with knowledge in Avaloq being a plus.
- Strong analytical and technical skills combined with the ability to apply them in a practical and balanced manner.
- Well-organized self-starter with the ability to work independently and efficiently.
