Business Unit Lead

We are seeking a highly motivated individual to lead our Business Unit Polyolefins. As Polyolefins Business Unit Head, you will be responsible for leading and developing the Product Management Team (4 direct reports) and driving the further development of the business unit.

Your Responsibilities:

  • Lead and develop the Product Management Team
  • Drive the further development of the Business Unit Polyolefins, including market insights, go-to-market strategy, sales channels, product and customer portfolio as well as supplier and customer relationships
  • Manage risk exposure (e.g. Long / Short)
  • Monitor the market, conduct competitive analysis and transfer results for strategic marketing; optimize BU result & ensure investment needs
  • Support and push the Meraxis-One-stop shop with regards to cross-selling / close collaboration with other Business Units / divisions as well as corporate functions (especially digitalization, sustainability)

Your Qualifications:

  • Proven track record in commodity business with several years of experience
  • Strong understanding of market structure, regulations and current opportunities
  • Excellent analytical, decision-making and leadership skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Commercial and / or financial degree-level education
  • Excellent English and German communication skills
