Human Resources Manager

Viking is seeking a highly skilled Human Resources Manager to join our team in Basel, Switzerland. As a key member of our HR department, you will be responsible for managing HR-related activities, providing HR support to Senior Officers onboard our ships, and acting as an adviser in HR-related matters.
Key Responsibilities- Manage HR administration and wellbeing of crew in an effective and compliant manner
- Maintain employee records and prepare contract documents for employees
- Support with visa application process and gather HR needs of responsible area
- Recruit and maintain close business relations with responsible core team
- Act as employee relations agent for assigned area to ensure compliance
- Control staff satisfaction and initiate action to improve in coordination with COM
- Support responsible COM with deployment of management positions
- Support onboard Senior Officer with HR administration and vacation planning
- Support trainings department in organization of season start training
- Conduct ship visits to foster relations with core team and onboard management
- Min. 2 years professional experience in a similar position
- Excellent English and German skills (written and verbal)
- Excellent computer knowledge (MS Office), administrative experience
- Excellent organizational and communication skills
- Ability to work independently, service-oriented and guest focused
- Positive personality, organized, flexible, team player, creative, stress resistant and resilient
- Certificate/degree in Human Resource Management
- Graduated education in hotel/tourism industry
