Director of Quality Assurance

As a key member of the Global Quality Engineering team, you will be responsible for leading the Quality Assurance activities for a Capex project. This project is a critical component of Lonza's growth strategy, and we are seeking an experienced leader with a strong drive to ensure its successful completion.
Key Responsibilities- Quality Assurance Leadership: Own all quality-related responsibilities for the CQV Lifecycle Program for new facilities, equipment, and utilities related to the GMP manufacturing of biologics and APIs.
- Project Coordination: Coordinate with other team members to ensure that projects are completed on time and within budget.
- Department Operations: Oversee department operations and work with managers to hire new employees or terminate existing staff members who are not meeting performance standards.
- Day-to-Day Operations: Manage day-to-day operations within the department, including overseeing staff members' work and providing direction as needed.
- Industry Trends: Monitor industry trends and new developments in the field, and share this information with colleagues to ensure that the organization remains relevant in its field.
- Strategic Planning: Develop long-term strategies for the Visp Project Portfolio, including setting goals and creating plans for achieving them.
- Education: Master of Science in Bio-Engineering or a related field.
- Experience: Experience working in a GMP-related environment in the pharmaceutical industry.
- Quality Unit Experience: Long-time proficient work experience in a Quality Unit (ideally within Biologics or Cell Gene).
- CAPEX Experience: Proficient experience in the execution of CAPEX, green-field experience would be an advantage.
- Regulatory Inspections: Experience in Regulatory inspections.
- Leadership Experience: Leadership experience is an advantage.
- Project Management: Proficient experience in Project Management and Stakeholder Management, certification in Project Management would be an advantage.
- Language Skills: Fluent in English, German language skills are an advantage.
