Electrical Discharge Machining Team Leader

Taiwan serves as our starting ground in expanding our global presence in the fields of drug delivery and medical technology. Our diverse team shares a common goal – ensuring the right drug device for the delivery of modern precision medicine.

Our department consists of state-of-the-art equipment, including eight fully automated sink EDM machines, two wire EDM machines, three five-axis electrode milling machines, and one CMM machine. We utilize the Erowa holder and automation system, efficiently arranging jobs with JMS Pro. Our production capabilities enable us to manufacture mold inserts for tools up to 48 cavities with tolerances of +/- 0.010

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead a team of 20 staff members
  • Cross-train staff to ensure all positions have a substitute
  • Ensure timely job completion while maintaining required quality standards
  • Optimize current sink EDM machining strategies and parameters
  • Evaluate and implement fully automated set-ups for sink erosion (electrode 5-axis CNC+QC+EDM)
  • Implement offline work piece set-up for wire EDM
  • Work closely with our capacity planning system
  • Maintain all machines and equipment in perfect working condition
  • Communicate effectively with machine and equipment suppliers
Requirements
  • Completed apprenticeship in a relevant field (mechanic/toolmaking)
  • No less than 5 years of hands-on experience operating sink EDM machines
  • Preferably certified trainer ('Meister')
  • Preferably experience in leadership (EDM or CNC department manager)
  • Mandarin language skills are beneficial
