About the Role
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Underwriter Support Specialist to join our team at Helvetia Insurance Group. As an Underwriter Support Specialist, you will play a critical role in ensuring the smooth operation of our underwriting processes.
Key Responsibilities
- Process new and renewal business and enter contracts in systems accurately and within established time frames.
- Correspond with brokers and clients on all administrative/accounting issues independently.
- Review administration correspondence, following up to obtain complete necessary information.
- Gather and organize information and reports (e.g., loss runs, risk assessments, and loss ratios) that support the underwriting decision.
- Handle details of policy payments: taxes and all different terrorism pools.
- Maintain insurance licenses in good standing, assist when needed in resolving customer service issues.
- May review incoming insurance submissions for accuracy and completeness.
- Ensure adequate filing and archiving of insurance/reinsurance contracts and related correspondences.
Requirements
- Insurance proven record and knowledge of the insurance industry and its products and services.
- Relevant training and experience in the administrative/financial customer service (insurance business) within risk management area.
- Analytical skills and ability to make decisions independently.
- Articulate and flawless oral and written communication skills in English and German (other languages are an asset).
- Proficient computer skills, such as Microsoft Word and Excel.
- You concentrate on the essentials, infer the correct priorities and complete tasks on schedule in a fast-paced work environment.
- You ensure sustainable partnerships even across team boundaries and cultivate them.
