Risk Management Director

RULEMATCH AG is a leading digital asset trading and clearing venue for financial institutions. Our platform provides a secure and efficient environment for banks, securities firms, and their institutional clients to trade and clear digital assets.
Job SummaryWe are seeking a highly experienced and hands-on Director of Risk Management to lead our risk management function. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing all types of risk to which the company is exposed, with a primary focus on operational risks.
Key Responsibilities- Risk Identification and Assessment: Identify and assess risks that affect the organization, including operational, financial, and reputational risks.
- Risk Measurement and Monitoring: Lead risk measurement in close collaboration with other control functions, and monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of risk controls and mitigation strategies.
- Risk Tolerance Framework: Maintain the company's risk tolerance framework and recommend appropriate risk responses.
- Internal Control System: Oversee the implementation of risk control measures across departments, and ensure compliance with relevant laws, regulations, and industry standards.
- Risk Reporting: Provide regular risk reporting to management and the Board of Directors.
- Risk Management Framework: Maintain and continuously improve the organization's risk management framework.
- Risk Awareness: Promote a risk-aware culture and educate employees on risk management practices.
- Experience: Several years of experience in risk management in the securities trading or post-trading area, some of which preferably in a financial market infrastructure and in a leadership role.
- Knowledge: In-depth knowledge of securities trading or post-trading processes is essential.
- Certifications: Relevant professional certification such as FRM, PRM, CFA or similar are highly desirable.
- Education: University degree in finance, economics, business administration or related field required, Master's degree preferred (equivalent work experience will be considered).
- Language: Fluency in English and German, both written and spoken, is required.
- Annual Salary: CHF 180'000.
