About the RoleWe are seeking an experienced and team-oriented 1st Line of Defence risk expert to strengthen our Front Risk Management Private Banking Risk & Control Management team in Switzerland.
Main Responsibilities- Design and execute 1st Line of Defence controls, supporting client-facing staff and participating in risk initiatives and projects in close collaboration with internal stakeholders.
- Align and exchange with FRM colleagues in locations abroad to foster FRM as a global function and increase 1st Line of Defence risk management effectiveness across the group.
As a Front Risk Manager, you will be responsible for:
- Designing 1st Line of Defence controls in Booking Centre Switzerland and aligning with FRMs in locations abroad.
- Executing 1st Line of Defence controls in Booking Centre Switzerland in a timely manner.
- Maintaining the control inventory and corresponding control documentation.
- Performing design and operating effectiveness checks for 1st Line of Defence controls.
- Supporting front employees in remediating identified deficiencies and daily risk-related business questions.
- Performing control-topic related trainings within the 1st Line of Defence.
- Coordinating and supporting risk-related recurring follow-up and monitoring tasks.
- Contributing to developments within Suitability, Fraud, and Cross-border topics as a subject matter expert.
- Participating in 1st Line of Defence risk initiatives & projects, including monitoring and reporting of milestones and key deliverables.
- Preparing and/or reviewing presentations for various committees.
- Supporting internal and external audits and preparing comprehensive closure documentation for assigned audit actions.
- Closely collaborating with client-facing staff, Compliance, Legal, Audit, and other stakeholders.
We are looking for a candidate with:
- University degree or equivalent (preferably in economics, law, business administration, or any other related field).
- At least 2 years of experience in Risk Management or Compliance.
- Front experience and knowledge of daily business operations (a plus).
- Good knowledge in Suitability, Fraud, and Cross-border topics.
- Project experience (management and/or support) in the financial services industry.
- Excellent knowledge of Microsoft Office applications, with a focus on PowerPoint and Excel.
- Fluent in English; other languages (e.g. German, French, or Spanish) are a plus.
