About the Role

We are seeking an experienced IP Counsel to join our team at Optotune, a dynamic and innovative company revolutionizing the world of optics with our cutting-edge solutions. As the company's point of contact for all IP-related matters, you will play a crucial role in shaping our intellectual property strategy.

Key Responsibilities
  • Support inventors in drafting invention disclosures and patent applications, while collaborating with outside counsel for prosecution and patent portfolio management.
  • Communicate effectively with internal stakeholders, including Inventors, Management, and outside counsel, to drive the development of our IP strategy.
  • Perform prior art search, FTO search, and surveillance of the patent landscape to ensure our IP portfolio remains optimized.
Requirements
  • Degree in engineering science or related fields (preferably MSc/PhD), with a strong understanding of technological matters, particularly mechanics and optics.
  • Professional experience in international patent law, with proficiency in English and German.
  • Strong communication and organizational skills, with the ability to work independently and adapt to rapidly evolving tasks.
