About the Role
We are seeking an experienced leader to join our team as a Head of Portfolio Management at Helvetia Insurance Group. As a key member of our organization, you will be responsible for defining and further developing our technical portfolio management framework for the non-life business.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and implement a comprehensive portfolio management framework that aligns with our business objectives.
- Monitor and support the implementation of portfolio management processes across our market units.
- Provide expertise and guidance on portfolio management structure, methodology, and quantitative and qualitative dimensions.
- Identify strengths, weaknesses, opportunities, and risks of portfolios and initiate corresponding measures.
- Manage and coordinate processes between market units and the Group relating to portfolio management.
- Develop and manage an international team of portfolio management professionals.
Requirements
- Established leadership experience with a proven track record in direct and indirect leadership.
- Many years of experience in managing underwriting portfolios, preferably in a line of business head or portfolio management/actuarial function in the insurance/reinsurance business.
- Strong understanding of profitability and portfolio management across the entire insurance cycle.
- Reflective and communicative personality with a multi-dimensional understanding of success.
- Skilled in maintaining relationships across different levels and countries.
- Internationally mobile with a willingness to travel in Europe (30% of the time).
- Proficiency in German, English, and Spanish; French and/or Italian are an asset.
