Job Summary
We are seeking a highly skilled Human Factors Engineering Team Lead to join our team at Ypsomed AG. As a key member of our Human Factors team, you will be responsible for planning and executing Human Factors Engineering programs according to current standards and guidelines.
Main Responsibilities
- Lead and develop the Human Factors Engineering team to ensure high quality and efficiency in project execution
- Contribute to the development and optimization of industrial and user interface design of our medical devices
- Plan, coordinate, and monitor formative and summative HF studies (with internal and external researchers)
- Analyze, interpret, and document findings from HF studies, including recommendations for product development
- Creation and maintenance of usability engineering files for product approvals in collaboration with the project or product teams
- Consulting of product and project managers regarding regulatory requirements for Human Factors / Usability Engineering
- Attend congresses and monitor trends in the field of Human Factors and User Experience Research & Design
Requirements
- Proven experience leading Human Factors Engineering teams, with a customer-oriented approach and a business-driven mindset
- Bachelor/Master (FH/University) with a focus on Ergonomics/Usability/Human Factors or related fields
- Experience in the application of usability/human factors engineering for medical devices and/or combination products (IEC 62366 as well as FDA HFE Guidance)
- Experience in international submissions in the field of medical devices and/or combination products (EU MDR, FDA, Health Canada, etc.)
- Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills
- Demonstrated ability to work cross-culturally in diverse and international environments
- Experience with digital health technologies is a plus
- Fluent in English (written and spoken); additional languages are an advantage
