We are seeking a highly skilled photonics specialist to join our team at Lumiphase.

About the Role

This is an exciting opportunity for a full-time Expert Operator / Lab Technician to work with advanced photonics testing setups and photonic chips. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams, taking on versatile responsibilities and contributing to the success of our company.

The ideal candidate will possess a strong technical education, trade/vocational school, or bachelor's degree in engineering or a related field. A hands-on attitude, passion for lab work, and experience in technical labs in a similar role are essential. Agile mindset, teamwork, and communication skills are also crucial, with proficiency in English and German being necessary. Knowledge of Python and Git repositories is a plus.

Key Responsibilities
  • Support daily testing plans based on priorities, execute reconfiguration of hardware testers, and promptly communicate test statuses.
  • Manage wafers and chip samples, ensuring consistent testing quality through periodic checks.

In addition, you will handle mechanical, electrical, and optical assembly, modifications of automated lab setups, debugging, maintenance, and inventory management. Strong teamwork and communication skills are required to ensure seamless collaboration within the team.
