Technical Operations Specialist

We are seeking a skilled Technical Operations Specialist to join our team at Lumiphase. As a key member of our operations team, you will play a vital role in the assembly and testing of photonic chips.

Key Responsibilities

Operations Support: Wafer/Chip Testing

  • Develop and execute daily testing plans to ensure efficient and effective production processes.
  • Configure and maintain hardware testers to optimize product quality.
  • Communicate test results promptly to stakeholders and manage the flow of wafers and chip samples in the lab.
  • Conduct regular quality checks to ensure consistent testing standards.

Lab Technician: Support Lab Activities

  • Support the assembly of photonics chips and handle mechanical, electrical, and optical assembly and modifications of automated lab setups.
  • Assist in debugging and maintenance of lab equipment and contribute to maintaining a clean, safe, and healthy lab environment.
  • Report issues and daily maintenance tasks to R&D engineers and assist in lab upgrades and routine maintenance.
  • Update the inventory system with new instruments and keep the system up to date.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in engineering or a related field, technical education, or trade/vocational school.
  • Strong hands-on skills and passion for lab work.
  • Experience in technical labs in a similar role and an agile mindset to adapt to changing priorities.
  • Excellent teamwork and communication skills (English and German).
  • Knowledge of Python and Git repositories is a plus.
Compensation and Benefits

We offer a competitive salary of $120,000 - $150,000 per year, depending on experience, as well as a range of benefits to support your career growth and well-being.
