ING is a leading universal bank with a presence in multiple continents and countries, including Switzerland. The company is seeking a seasoned Risk Management Expert to join its Credit Risk team in Switzerland.


The Credit Risk team at ING Switzerland plays a crucial role in the bank's risk management strategy, working closely with account management and other stakeholders to ensure a balanced risk approach. As a Risk Management Expert, you will be responsible for performing in-depth analysis of credit applications, identifying potential risks, and providing guidance on risk mitigation strategies.


Key responsibilities of the Risk Management Expert role include:



  • Conducting thorough financial analysis and business risk assessments of credit applications
  • Providing guidance on structuring facilities and ensuring compliance with ING's credit policies
  • Maintaining open dialogue with account management on portfolio management, client development, and risk management
  • Developing and implementing risk mitigation strategies to ensure the bank's overall risk appetite
  • Reviewing and approving credit applications, ensuring they meet ING's risk criteria

Qualifications and competencies required for the Risk Management Expert role include:



  • Masters degree in accounting, finance, economics, or international business
  • At least 8 years of experience in banking, with a minimum of 5 years in a credit risk or similar function
  • Strong knowledge of corporate banking concepts, loan documentation, and credit analysis
  • Excellent analytical and critical thinking skills, with the ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines
  • Fluent in English, with proficiency in French or German
  • Ability to work independently and collaborate with cross-functional teams
