The Job's Mission
The Research Information & Knowledge Hub at IMD is seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented intern to support the team's objectives of providing efficient and high-quality customer service and research publication processes. The successful candidate will assist in a wide range of tasks, including publication digitization, data registration and cleaning, reference desk shifts, information research, and interlibrary loans.
Key Activities & Accountabilities
- Participate in a large-scale digitization project for IMD publications, ensuring accuracy and completeness of data.
- Contribute to IMD's knowledge base by cataloguing new publications and assigning relevant metadata tags.
- Support the Infodesk (reference desk) by answering information requests from the IMD community and providing excellent customer service.
- Conduct information searches using online databases and provide relevant results to stakeholders.
- Support Interlibrary Loan request services and process incoming journal issues.
- Assist with other tasks such as pedagogical tools support, loans support, resource guides, and training support, as needed.
Requirements
- Pre-HES candidates are strongly encouraged to apply.
- Gymnase / high school diploma or equivalent, with a strong interest in information science.
- Experience organizing documents or other information is desirable.
- Experience with online information databases and basic research skills are also desirable.
- Excellent personal organization, attention to detail, and ability to focus are essential.
- Good English communication skills, both written and oral, are required.
- Basic knowledge of MS-Office products, including Excel, is necessary.
