About the Role

Splunk is experiencing rapid growth, and we're looking to expand our presence in the German-speaking part of Switzerland. We're seeking a results-driven and highly motivated Regional Sales Manager to join our team in Switzerland, based out of Zürich.

Key Responsibilities
  • Consistently meet and exceed license, support, and service revenue targets, with a strong focus on predictable and accurate forecasting.
  • Develop and execute strategic territory plans, leveraging named accounts and opportunity management to drive continuous pipeline generation and business development.
  • Negotiate favorable pricing and business terms with customers, emphasizing value and ROI.
  • Effectively collaborate with Sales Engineering, Business Value Advisors, and Professional Services resources to drive sales success.
  • Leverage our partner ecosystem of resellers, managed service providers, and GSI's to expand our reach.
  • Embody our sales methodology and processes, utilizing SFDC and MEDDPICC to drive sales excellence.
  • Contribute to a positive and collaborative team environment, with a strong focus on information sharing and resource optimization.
Requirements
  • Minimum of a bachelor's degree; MBA a plus.
  • 5-7 years of direct selling experience in the Swiss IT market.
  • Proven track record in software sales, with expertise in Security, IT-Operations, DevOps, and/or Data Analytics.
  • Ability to close large and complex software licensing deals.
  • Solid business relationships with existing target accounts, particularly with global manufacturing companies based in Zürich.
  • Exceptional management, interpersonal, written, and presentation skills.
  • Innovative, passionate, open, and disruptive mindset, with a strong focus on customer satisfaction.
  • Able to work independently and remotely from other team members and corporate resources.
  • Proficient in CRM systems, with a strong understanding of MEDDPICC.
  • Strong competency in using social media and professional networks to understand customer needs and preferences.
  • Fluent in English, both written and spoken.
